Is your car a diesel? If so, it MAY be the auxiliary heater for the engine? Just guessing...

by where it is, my guess would be to enable/disable the cigarette lighter - you could confirm this by wetting your finger and sticking it in the hole

I think it's for removing gas when you break wind!
Use it only if you have a girlfriend :v

u see the vent below it, the button is used to turn that vent off and on,
at least that is what I think it is used for, probably to warm up your hands?

I personally don't have that such button or have seen one before.

My guess is that it's a smokeless ashtray feature

lightup a cigarette and place it in the ashtray then enable the switch on and observe the smoke, if it's sucking the smoke in that's what it is

Maybe this vent, if there is one, is designed to remove smoke from the cigarette when you put it into the ashtray, so it will not smell.

if the vent was for sucking the smoke - i would expect the arrows on the label to be pointing IN to the line - not wafting out. so maybe it's for hotboxing the car or something.

Tried it today, it does not observe the smoke from the cigarette
I guess it is for something else, or it is not working

Hi. The button is used to enable/disable an auxillary heater which warms the engine quicker during periods of cold weather. I believe it is only active at temps around 5 degrees C or less.

Warm up your cigarette, warm up your engine. Seems like a logical place to me.
