2002 E320 spring selection
Got my 2002 E320 for about 3 months and it is a wonderful family car. I like the 17” wheel with 234-45/17 tires and the black bird’s eye maple wood trim. Looking into lowering the ride height by replacing the spring sets and reducing the large gap between the top of the tire and the wheel arc. Almost fit my hand in there!!
Saw Eibach Pro Spring kit (1.2”F 1.2”R drop) and H&R Sport Spring Set (1.4”F 1.3”R drop) on the Tire Rack website. Can anyone share some information on the ride, handling, etc. after the installation? I have a preference on the H&R due to a large drop but there seems to be spring pads to consider reading some other threads. Which type to use with this installation? Should I do it at the dealer?
