headlight lens replacment
...that's what we start with as many wanted clear outer lens. then
we gut the thing and try to retrofit HID projector into place, connect
ballast, and refit clear lens. it's this last step you're replicating. I
just dont know what kind of goo MB/OEM uses. maybe your lens will
come with instructions or tips.
...finally got off my butt and connected the blinking mirrors yesterday

that is from MB info CD. 10mb video
also found more stuff in my notes...

hey!.....as i view this last graphic, it appears that the OEM one may not require the oven method. hard to tell from pics....and i'm sure there are variations on a theme, depending on headlight used

only a few bloody nuckles, and only broke one piece...but all in all. everything went back in and looks amazing now....i ended up putting in clear signals and clear corners at the same time....i have a very new looking front end right now....i'll get some pics up tomrrow!

I bet the difference is amazing.

Mine aren't faded out like that, but, I have this aerodynamic lens scratching where the wind breaks around the headlight. It's not that noticable when the lights are off, but very obviuos when they are on
whiteout conditions. i was getting dark and I only had dark goggles so I left
them off and squinted my way up. when I got back home, I noticed that the
snow granules had abraded the surface of my eyeballs. each had red streaks
horiz all the way across the middle each eyeball.
someone else on W210 forum had posted their success using some polish on
faded headlight lens. this was during the past month or so.
