CEL P0400 EGR Flow Malfunction
'96 E320 with 150K miles; CEL yesterday. OBDII indicates P0400; 1 month ago replaced MAF. The car is running fine. Did a search on the code but couldn't locate any pictures or the part number(s) that needs to be cleaned/replaced. I can see (2) vacuum activated parts on the passenger side of the engine; is one of these the EGR? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also, suggestions on where to obtain the replacement part, if cleaning doesn't work? TIA.

You can clean the egr
valve with some spray egr cleaner or a very good carbon cleaner i have found is to use the can of CRC brand maf cleaner with the spray tube. When you disconnect the lines you can also shoot the spray tube into the tubes to clean them out.
Autohausaz.com has new egr for your year if that fails to clear the light, but it should..
While you have the cleaner in hand clean the purge valve,if your year has one.
Really funked up egr tubes can be cleaned by snaking a properly sized flexible wire into the tube and spinning it while it snakes it's way toward the intake.
