lots of guys are using Eibach and changing to shortest sping pads. If you just want to lower your car a little you could take your stock pads which most likely are #3, 13mm and replace them with #1, 5mm pads.

now lets say all i get are the number 1 pads..how much will instalation run about?

$75 to $150 it is the same amount of work for the mechanic if you were to change out the springs.

55cent, Where is that price quote from? Because up here I inquired on changing springs and every shop wants to rape me by charging over $500.

When I first lowered my car my mechanic replaced my shocks, springs and pads in under 2.5 hours and it cost me $250.00. Replacing shocks is double the work of just replacing springs. In case you didn't know our cars have shocks and springs not struts like BMW. So what this means is, you can change the springs with out touching the shocks and vice versa.
Go to to an indy shop or rent spring compressors and do it yourself. I have done it myself twice and it is really no big deal.
