u juss press auto to turn it on, and if it's not working like no air blowing, then it sounds like u have two blown blower motors..ouch sorry man those are expensive, mine died last year, was a 1,000 to replace one, but they truied to rip me off so they did the job for free, cuz i called the district manager!

Also, the compresor (or one of the components) uses freon as a lubricant and cooling mechanism. If you are out of freon, the compresor's fail safe will not allow it to work.

To replace the compressor, the dash does NOT need to be removed. Everything is done in the engine bay. Some mechanics will remove the front air dam to access the compressor but it is not necessay to do so. The receive/dryer should be replaced at the same time. The whole job should take about 2-3 hours. The compressor is about a $800-900 part.
