Check Engine Light on E300TD?

Ive got a check engine light on my 98 300TD. I talked to the dealer and have an appointment tomorrow morning but i was wondering what were lookin at here. Over the phone i was told most likely an "emissions problem" so that could be anything pretty much. Anyone have any ideas?

THe most common problem I've seen has been faulty glow plugs.

Just got back from the dealer. Turned out that when i drove into a dusty lot i sucked enough dust to plug the filter and ruin the MAF sensor. Oh well thats the beauty of starmark.

1999 Mercedes E300 TurboDiesel

I guess i caught the thread a day late, my bad. I was going to say, my E300 did the same thing, and the MAF was bad too. It was because I had installed a K&N air filter...but they didn't realize luckily, and covered it under warranty. Apparently the tack oil they use gets on the inside of the maf and ruins the sensors.
