Question connecting a sub... plz help

Hello,

I have a w210 2001 with a Comand 2.0 and i want to connect a sub without changing a head unit, is it possible?
I mean can i connect it directly to the comand or is there any other way to get a sub working without changing comand?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I have the same thing. All I did was went to the stereo shop and installed a RCA converter. It hooks up to the rear speakers.

It is called a line level convertor. It taps into the rear speaker wires and allows you to use that signal from your stock speakers to plug into the rca imputs of an aftermarket amplifier, which would be used to power your sub. They are very inexpensive and available at locar stereo shops and radio shack, walmart, and ebay.
