Window regulator snapped
How much does the rear regulator cost to get fixed? I tried to understand how to do it myself in other threads, but the need for a rivet gun scares me off tackling this myself.

I light my cigars with $100 bills, so it's all good.
Seriously, I always manage to screw up do-it-yourself projects. Even a simple one like changing the brake switch under the dash...I can't get the dash cover back on correctly, so there is a gap in the fit, and there are bloodstains from my cut finger smeared in that spot.
This job seems much harder even though several posters said how basic it really is.

remove door panel, un screw door lock pin, unscrew the latch cover t-20 torx
take plastic wedg and pry softly on "srs" badge theres a screw back there, theres a small plug under the door handle pry that off too another screw in there
start at bottom of door with plastic wedge and pop out the bottom, work your way around the door, then when your at the top pull up it is resting in a groove on the scraper seal, then un hook the door latch and unplug the light at the bottom of the door, take the inner seal off carefully, roll the window up and tape it at the top so it doesnt fall, get a drill and drill bit and drill out the rivets connecting the regulator, unplug window motor, take regulator out of door,
remove window motor and attach to new regulator and re install in revers order

For what it's worth - I had mine done - but never reconnected the window motors back up. I don't really have a need to roll down the back windows, so I figured I could avoid this headache all together in the future this way. Just a thought.

Done! I followed the excellent pictorial on the "other" site. Had the part shipped from CA in a week. Bought a rivet gun and 3/8" Aluminum rivets, and also bought a bunch of "star" or "torx" wrenches for around $50 for the part, plus $23 for tools.
Job took about an hour, but now I could do it in half that.
Anyone needing help with this project, PM me, or if in the NJ/PA/NY vicinity, I'll lend you a hand and tools. I'll never use a rivet gun for anything else.
Very happy to have saved around $200 letting the dealer do this.
