Flat Hood Ornament
Anyone got any pics of a newer E-Class with the aftermarket flat hood ornament. I'd like to see one on a car before ordering.

Looks good. Takes out some of the stodginess. Where did you get yours? Can you get them in colors other than blue. Grey-black? How hard are they to put on?

Looking back, I think I'll wait just a little bit...there's a thing going around NYC where the star gets ripped off your hood so that someone can have a nice star for that chain around his neck. (Happened twice to our '90 300E 4MATIC.) I'll probably wait until that happens first, then get this to replace the star.
As for the valve caps, those are nice. However, read the paragraph above. NYC ain't kind to stuff like that...

Before you buy a flat hood badge be advised that the badge is flat and the hood is not. If you want it to look nice, you'll have to GENTLY bend the badge (hard plastic) to mold it to the contour of the hood. Other than that, it's an easy swap with some double-sided side molding tape.
