New MAF; reset Adaption Values?

Just heard from my MB dealer that the MAF needs to be replaced on my '96 E320. They stated that when replacing the MAF, that the adaption values need to be reset with the MB computer. I've already ordered the replacement Bosch MAF. Is the reset of the adaption values by the dealer necessary or will these automatically reset and adjust after a few driving cycles? Thanks

E430
When I changed the MAF on my E430 earlier this year, I didn't have to reset the adaptation values.

All I did was clear the code and then install the MAF and that was it.

Car drove better afterwards too. Good luck!
