Replacement OEM air filters

hey guys, im getting the OEM airfilter replaced, and i can get the air filters from 3 companies: AFE, GREEN, and K&N, which should i go with and y? Also is there anything else i can do to the air intake to get more power from it, (except for geting a whole new air intake), like chage the tube or something?

Don't use a K&N or other oil-based filter. These filters let dirt/sand into the engine, as indicated by abnormally high silicon levels in the crankcase. Also, anecdotal evidence suggests they promote MAF failure.

Buy a Mann filter. Unless you've done some serious mods, the stock airbox & paper filter are more than sufficient for the engine to breathe. We're not talking about a Honda!

The K&N vs. paper comparisons are almost always done with a dirty paper filter. Of course a clean K&N will feel better than a filthy old paper filter. Compare a clean paper filter to K&N.

A lot of people take their air filters very personally, so this will not doubt stir some controversy.

Read the arguments pro & con for yourself:
