Signal rear views on 97 E420
Does anyone know if you can put the signal rear view mirrors from the later model E class on a 97 E420? Is there a big issue with wiring the mirrors to the signal markers? Any help would be appreaciated.

No problem at all...you need to get complete newstyle mirrors (the blinking housing only doesn't fit on the oldstyle mirror consoles/glasses). The connectors at the blinking mirrors are different and need to be changed to fit the pre updated 210s (or 202s)...after that you only need to run 2 wires per side to properly ground and power the actual blinkers (power can be taken from the connector that goes to the steering column switch/blinkers).
I have several sets of OEM W210 blinking mirrors, but as far as I know, US W210s all have memory driver seats and I don't have a blinking mirrorset with memory motors.
