Awww Chit - Got the wrong Depo's for my retrofit
Yup
So can I "retrofit" model year 00 to fit a pre-facelift 98? Or finish the project and sell them? Or just dump the set as is?
------
To make it worse - today I took a piece of road debris on the freeway and it put a couple of nice dents on my front passenger quarter panel. Bad news is I gotta file my first auto claim in about 15 years - good news is my deductible is $250 and not the $500 I thought it was.
Mondays suck ****.
you're going to be able to retrofit that model to fit the pre-00. my brother has
a 2000 so i'll ask if he has any interest in HID but so far, he's happy feeding gas
into it and has not gotten the bug to mod anything except to pump Costco
premium gas into it.

I'm not worried about it; will pick up another pair and go forward, I put this up for a good laugh

The dents have me really bummed - just going thru the process is gonna be a PITA.

Of course I started looking around at other projectors too - but man, sounds like the E55's are almost tailor made for the Depo's.
I'll be interested to see how Blackbeard's install turns out with the RS6's (yours too).
I though about dropping the E55's on a rail:
-------------------
O O O O O O O O Attached to the projectors (top/botttom)
-------------------
The same vertical rail attached to the Depo housing (one each side)
This would allow a lot of adjustment up/down.
If it's too complicated, will go with the washer install.
newly acquired skills to mod the facelift Depo and sell that as a unit and hope-
fully break even. (me, always the hustler)
