Sean's Sister--
////////help with fog lights//////////

my cars at that final stages and little things need to be done and fog lights are one........even though its not a bimmer i thought i'd see what the people on here think since a lot of benz guys are here as well.......

there the ebay ones and have pretty bad outputs.........i have the projectors on the headlights so i thought i match it with some fog light projectors.......on my bumper the fog lights kick it behind the bumper so most of it is hiddin....

i can either go with clear ones or projector, here are the pics and a old pic of the bumper......

.... nothing to brag about, it is a previous model....
most likely your "fog light" is not going to be useful in real life other than "looks".

most likely no one going to notice how your fog light looks like, other than yourself.

Now.... whatever easier to take care of, should fit you better. (projector headlight housing are chrome plate, how long do you think it will last? I mean looking spotless, and not oxidize, or pill off by rocks? )

Alex i had both of them and they only lasts for a few weeks than all the cables get loose and you will have to take off the bumper every time it happest to solider them. Right now i heve the clear ones but before i put them on did some extra solidering on all the cables inside the housing.
Projector light output sucks.

you have any pics of both sets of lights on your car???

i don't really care for the light output as we don't get fog here at all and my headlights with moded tsx projectors are bright as hell anyways.......upgrading to hids in the future if i needed them to be brighter can be helpful as well......i just don't want something thats a pain in the butt......

the guys selling the projectors on ebay have problems as a few people never got items they paid for by "racing guys" so i don't know of other places that got these in stock at the moment and i need something asap

Sorry alex, not feeling the look either...maybe a bit better if the inside was painted black or when the lights are on but still, the fisheye look seems a little out of place..

I've actually seen those things on a stock W208 bumper, they just didn't look right on the car.

i like the clear version. it compliments the headlight conversion in which you
went with the clear lens. the appearance is that it visually 'opens' up the
lighting fixture, whereas the proj fog seems to close it down. r-

Actually, Whitey's excellent photoshop skill make me think of something "fancy" for your car.

Since it is about the look..
your bumper seems to be "deep", I think any fog light clear or not may not be so "visible" from incoming traffic.

Instead, how about find another set of projector fog light just install next to the stock fog light? (I mean the second opening area? )

Whitely~~~~~~~~~~ please illustrate.

hmmm that wouldn't be a bad idea but the tow hook is in the 2nd hole on the left side and i already cut off the tow hook in the rear to have the quad exhaust to be fited so i kinda have to leave it

Hey Alexbenz that is a Carlsson front bumper right?

Clear fog lights look better than the projector fogs.

Got the clears myself they look HOT
but you cant adjust them (the knob for adjustment are just for show) and they keep going on and off every couple of months and i have to keep
adjusting the bulbs so i dont lamp malfunction
so i can only say look great but if you can keep them to stay on even better

Mrhappy71--
the reason they go on and off is your connection........hubert even said the connection needs to be tight or else that will happen........

2002 Mercedes Benz E320
2002 E320 OEM Fog Lights

The factory fog lights have melted to the fog light housing. Has anyone else had this problem? I am thinking of replacing the factory fog lights with after market fog lights. Anyone have any recommendations?
