Blower Motor Regulator Question???
Hey...i know that the blower motor regulator has been talked about a lot (being that it is such a pain). I just have one question. I have a '97 E420. I have seen on ebay, the new style regulator and the old one. I still have no clue which one i have. My friend at BMW (also deals with certain MB issues) says that his friend had the same problem and it costed 800 bucks to get all the new stuff. I always thought that i had the old one, but now i think i might have the new one (I don't know about what the original owner had done to the car. I will post a picture of the one i have in my car. Can someone tell me which one it is?
The sticker on it says:
BEHR
Part: A210 821 15 51
Thanks if anyone can help!!!
P.S. When you replace the cabin air filters, do you buy 2 (one as the charcoal and one as the dust)? Do you buy 2 of the same?

New style..!!
lucky you... looks as if the upgrade was already done... sorry to here it's gone out...
the older style looks more like this... except the wire harness is a bit longer...
it's actually from the W140 '97 S500 and has the thicker heat sink vs. standard...
your's is much better anyway...

sorry… missed the part about the filters…
you have two charcoal activated filters and two dust filters… go figure...
the charcoal activated are easy to get to at the passenger side foot well… just remove the cover, couple of screws, and you'll see them...
the dust filters are installed behind the glove box… it’s tricky… six screws i think and carefull of the light wires... then pull real hard, it pops out… the filters are back to the right...
if you need a "how-to" on either, just do a search… i think i saw it on here some-where… if i can find it i’ll post it up for you…
take care....
