Good price for car?

Last week I bought mercedes 1997 E420 with 60,000 miles extremely clean for 11,900$ after 1 week the mass sensor and PSE pump for the central locking failed which cost about 1500$ in repairs. Do you guys think the car is still a good deal or I got ripped off?

I think you got a decent deal on the car,but it may just have been time for those parts to go. Don't feel too bad, that's my 97 below, and so far,I've replaced
things for one of the two following reasons:1) to keep the car running good, and
2) to make it look as modern as possible. The maintenance isn't too bad,but as a new owner of what i think is a great car,you should search around this forum for
tips that would help you down the road.BTW,I replaced my MAF last year,so I would say get it checked from stem to stern ,in the quest to foresee potential
problems. Good Luck with your new(to you) baby!!
