Help! Problems with seats. 1997 E320
My seats respond opposite of what I want them to do. I almost crushed my father-law! and had to force the seat back. When I hit the rear button, the seat moves forward. I think my memory settings are messed up. Also, the lights on the rear view mirror start blinking when I use the remote door opener. Appreciate any assistance.

I dont know about the seats,although mine do the same thing. The lights on the RV mirror are supposed to do that. They tell you what mode of locking or unlocking your car is in (i.e.:red=locked,green is unlocked) they do this alternately. Please be careful,as someone who doesn't know about the seat,might get hurt,as you described. Good Luck

my seats do the same. the pass. works fine but the drivers side is messed up.
make the seat as far back as possible, put that setting as mem. # 3. if someone else needs to use the car, use #3 and they can adjust foreward accordingly.
i think the whole seat setting assembly needs replacing to correct this problem.

Thanks King J. Anyone every replaced seat assembly setting?
I think I got a lemon. The dealer had me replace the whole wiring harness for about $1,500. Wish, I found this forum a long time ago!. The short time I've been on this forum, I fixed my air conditioner and have ordered the MAF. Hopefully, someday maybe my check engine electronics light will go off. If it were not for this forum, I probably would have dumped the car..
