A few questions.. just bought 97 E420
I just bought a 1997 E420, silver, 93K miles, with AMG wheels. It's in remarkable condition and pulls like a freight train.
I'm considering upgrading the stock suspension to better match the AMG wheels and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend springs/shocks that won't unduly lower the car (<1" preferred). The previous owner recommended AMG springs, but I'm guessing they're pricy. Also would be interested in others who have done this and what the results were.
Also, is there any basic PM that I should be concerned with at 93K? The car was supposedly maintained to MB specs.

Congrats on your excellant choice. The AMG suspension is probably your best bet. I would shop around locally and internet sources to find the lowest prices. The AMG E55 suspension is not slammed just moderately lower. You also use smaller spring pads to lower the car. To complete the car upgrade the sway bars to E55 spec also. Good Luck.
