Can anyone suggest where to get the navigation antenna from a place who can get original parts. Stealership quoted $499.40 just so I can replace a $.50 piece of rubber that came off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I hate to buy a new navigation antenna just to replace the rubber tip. Evidently, the antenna is only sold as one piece. The best price I found from another dealer is $343. Do you think SteveML could source the piece? Thanks!

 

The cap is a separate part, but when it's broken that doesn't mean the antenna underneath is ok.

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I saw on eBay a guy was selling the antenna cap and rubber cover as a set for approx. $100 in colors Black, White, Desert Silver, and Brilliant Silver (last I checked). The cheaper way is buy the just gps antenna rubber cover from the dealer, but you have to modify it to make it fit through the base (I trimmed bottom piece). I will get back to you on the part number and pricing. By the way you need those allen wrenchs to remove the cap. Not sure if it had a security lock.
