Perhaps your alternator isn't working?

To be honest, I have no idea how it could be fixed nor how to test it.

here is your solution

ok friend, this is what u do, take your car to auto zone, or kragen, or any repair shop in your area,, first let them test your alternator. they should be able to help you with you alternator problem, you need new alternator, old one will not charge, battery which cause battery to die, you can buy a new one or a rebuilt one, but a rebuilt one and make sure the charging amps are the same as what your stock one used to be.

I have had the same problem with my 2002. I had to replace the plug in harness on the back side of alternator. But you should get your alternator checked to see if its bad before do do anything that major.

under

the alternator is located under the front half of your car, just look right under as soon as u go right under the hood, u may not be able to see it because of plastic soo remoove underbody plastic.

Yes, the alternator charges your vehicle battery. It is driven by a belt. On the 2002 it will be up at the top of the engine. Your best bet is to go to any of your local parts houses and ask them to check it for you.
