BOTH lights go out at same time...that normal?

I got the Light Malfunction last night and BOTH my passenger (high and low beam) lights were out. Is that normal? I thought it was just my low's, but the highs didnt work either. I will take a look at the bulbs, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Paul

it is extremely rare that both bulbs would burn out at the same time, so i'd
suggest looking for the cause upstream, eg common fuse, ground, switch, etc.
highly unlikely 4 bulbs unless you were hit with 100 jiggawatts from a bolt
of lightning off the off the City Hall clock tower or something.

hmmm...I wasnt in Hill Valley last night at around 10:04....I should have made my post a little more clear. Its not the entire passenger side, but its the main light. The high and low. The fog and parking lights still work. That help?

nah....just came back from coffee and re-read. you were clear, my mind was not.
prob a fuse. try isolating and examining the fuses (may be split left/right) as
well as that oblong looking connector leading to the headlight w/half dozen
contacts. periodically, that gets groady and/or comes loose.

both low and high beam H7 bulbs were burnt out? that's unusual...and points to a short upstream or something, is my first thought

After further inspection I am an idiot. Its just the low beam bulb that is out. So what is everyone changing them out too?

Okay I got the low beams fixed with the Sylvania Silverstars. They look VERY good compared to the stock. Now since those are called the H7's..what are the high beams called? Next to the Sylvanias they look too amber. I want to get better matching Highs for the Lows. Thanks in advance.
