ML320, Looking for my S4
Do i need a skid plate?

Well being that i had to take off my skid plate, and being that it was cracked, riped, and torn in half i left it off. Do i need it and whats the worst that can happen being that i dont have it anymore..

my understanding is that it can help keep crap out from the underside of your car. it also cuts down on wind noise and probably contributes to greater fuel efficiency. Another piece of food for thought. If your skid plate was ripped up, do you want whatever caused that damage to your skid plate to be hitting the underside of your engine?

It's a cover, not a skid plate.

It will break every time you use it as a skid plate.

If it served no function, it wouldn't have been there in the first place.
