Lowering my 210 question please

Ok I am going to buy these (MBW sponsor) Questions

http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...4.2&perfCode=S

Are these the right springs? I want the car to be noticeably low but not ghetto.

Should I spend the money to have a Merc dealer install them or take them to a non Merc reputable shop that I trust.

The thing I am most confused about. Do I need a camber kit and what are these numbered spring pads that I read about. I have searched the forum but I am still somewhat confused. Thanks

yes you need to get a camber kit speedybenz has them. You will prematurely wear out your rear tires if you don't install a camber kit

Usually, the negative camber can be compinsated for on tire rotations. If you move your rears to your front every 3000 miles you will be okay with a small amount of negative camber. If you have a large amount, which will result in a 1.8 inch drop +, you will need a camber kit.

I've got H&R springs and the Eibach set up for my W210 sedan. What shock are you going to install?

I think the best lowering combo is H&R springs with Koni adjustable shocks.
You are better off getting a camber kit and there is a few out there just do a search.

Most people go staggered with 18's cause you can really wide tires on the rears of the w210's. Wider than the w211's

If You Lower the W210 One will need the Front REPAIR Camber Bolts sold by MB X4 that WILL allow you to adjust the Front to Spec

The Rear Camber is Not adjustable unless One Installs a set of camber bars that are adjustable or a Kmac kit

I have used Speedy Benz Adjustable camber bars for seven years without any problems

You can have a Decent tire shop install the springs as MOST Dealers will NOT install lower springs

BTW I would advise you to replace the shocks at the same time as the (OLD) Shocks are at a different height and when you lower the car the shocks will be at a different height..and IF there is any wear on the shock piston it will take the seals out..also on a lowered car one WILL Need shorter shocks as the travel is different

I am getting the springs I posted. I am gonna lower it at a local shop, then take it to the MB dealer to get advice on the pads and camber kit. I am getting some rims/tires in a few weeks so I'll get new shocks after the new wheels are installed.
