Lower Console Window Switch Replacement
Hi All,
I need to replace my window switch. How do I get the wood trim off without breaking it? Is there a trick to removing the switch assembly? My car is a 1998 E320 4Matic.

no trick as far as I know.
using your bruce lee dragon claw grip, simply pull up the rectangular trim
surrounding the shifter. then grip the wood panel and pull straight up.

So there's no way to replace a single switch on the window switch assembly? My front driver side window switch went out last night but the others work fine. Seems like just the switch might be bad. It'd be nice if I didn't have to spend $345 on the complete assembly.
