Putting ipod in a 2000 E430 w/ Command
I just finished putting an Ipod kit in my car, and now my dad wants one in his. He has a 2000 E430 with command. Is there just an auxiliary input on the back of the head unit? Does anyone know what kind of cable i would need?

I know what to do!
Hey what's up. I don't know what car u drive or what kit u used but I have a 2000 E320 with COMMAND and this is how I got my iPod to work.
1. Go to radioshack and buy a wire for 5 bucks where both ends have the headphone style ending....like the one that goes into the ipod....both ends should be like this on the wire
2. Connect one end to ur ipod and the other end to this tiny whole on the left hand side on ur glovebox...it should be in the center and has a whole for the other end of the wire.
3. Turn on command...hit SYS...and scroll to AUX.....
4. Turn on ur ipod and ur volume up and enjoy
I had bought the itrip...the wirless adapter...but the sound was horrible...thisis a lot better and I don't mind the wire I can conceal it easy
Hope this helps...I'd post pics but I'm on my sidekick and I'm in la my cars in dc

My 2001 with Command has an aux input jack in the glove compartment.
Command manual explains how to activate it.
Doesn't yours?
