LED Tail lights

has anyone bought these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WAVED...spagenameZWDVW

I'd hate to buy something that will set off my lamp defective light, or just look like garbage. From these pictures they look pretty good, and the price isn't bad either - especially comparing it to OEM E55 lights. I know there are several of you out there with LED lights - so gimme some feedback!

thanks all

I have a set of the smoked versions, and they're nice...but the fitment needs a little help. I actually dremeled one of the holes on my car to accomodate, and one of the trunk lights had to be glued, since it wasn't flush. All in all, for the price, and the clear look, they're definitely worth it.

i bought used E55 tails off this forum for $165 shipped last year. as folks upgrade
to LEDs the OEM ones can be had. if you're looking for clear instead of smoked
versions, they're simply 00-02 E320 tails i believe. if you can get them cheaper
(definitely less than $200) that would be the route to take....and can always
smoke them yourself.

thanks, i've kept my eyes open for a set of used E55 lights, but they rarely show up on ebay or craigslist, and new ones are way more than i'm willing to pay. And, from what i understand there are some fitting issues going on a '97 as well.

Question for ghaffer23: did you actually have to glue the light to your car? - yikes! Was it way off? What year car do you drive? As far as the quality of the materials (clarity of plastic, brightness, etc.) are you happy with the change? And the most important question - no lamp defective messages?

thanks!

husk323 what year is your car? do your lights have the red color all the way around? The non-wave lights i've seen don't seem to - any pictures? I might be interested...

The first set I had broke on me, so then I sent them back for a second pair. Both of them were of poor fitment...it's no problem though. But I was expecting at least good fitment...oh well!

You had a first set break? - that doesn't sound like the quality i'm after. was it a freak thing, or do they seem like they are not made well?
