hey, for any 2000 - 2002 e-class owners, does the SOS light stay on all the time??? whether the lights are on or off? my dealer did some work on my sos system, and now they only come one when my lights are on. is this the way your cars are??? also, the little "i" and "wrench" lights light up as white light, aren't they supposed to be red????

The SOS lighting you described is just like mine. On when the car lights are on and off otherwise. I forget what the wrench light color is... I'll check tonight.

SOS lights only when lights are on on mine...
Wrench is red too, I think.

The i and wrench are red when the key is in ignition and turned to all positions except "start". The i and wrench are then white once the engine is started. I hope this helps.
