Replacing sideviews with 01-02 versions?

Replacing sideviews with 01-02 versions?
I'm trying to get info on whether or not it's possible to swap out my sideviews for the 01-02 ones with the turn signals. Has anyone done this on a 97-98 W210? i tried doing a search on it, didn't come up with anything.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes ,It's possible i just did that to my 96 e320 you only need to run two wires for the blinking led. The mounting screws are the same with old mirrors.

The connectors on the newer blinking mirrors need to be changed as well since the newstyle mirrors have different connectors as the oldstyle non blinking mirrors.
I have several OEM MB blinking mirror sets but only 1 set with memory motors which I believe is standard on the USspec W210...
