Door crack noise problem.

Sup. I got a 99 E320 and when i open/close the two front doors, about halfway through the maneuver they make a crack/pop sound. Anyone else have this problem?

Most likely its the check strap. There is not really a quick fix on them, Chances are you will need to replace them. Trying looking at a body shop to help you out as their labor rate is cheaper than the dealer...

You might want to first check to see that they are bolted down correctly. Open the doors and check for (2) 10mm bolts at the front of the door by the hinge. Make sure they are tight because that could also be the cause of your noises.
