I have a 2001 E320 Wagon with the mc3010 changer. I have the horizontal/vertical setting set, but it it still skips quite a bit. It is securely installed in the bracket area. Any ideas?

2001 E320 RWD - Brilliant Silver/Ash: 100,000+
I don't know the model numbers, but MB/Alpine improved the later changers from what I've heard. My used 2001 E320 did not have one, and I bought mine off a guy on eBay that had came from a newer-than 2001 car. It works well.

MC3010 is suppose to be more skip resistant than the MC3198 it replaced. I
believe MC3111 can be used also as it should be D2B compliant also. but if
you did adjust for H vs V, i'm not sure why it would continue to be so sensitive.
the drive mechanism rides on 4 gell donuts. perhaps it has disconnected from
these cushions?

2003 E320 4Matic Wagon & 1997 E320
I thought logic would work that way as well but it is MB so noone ever knows.
Obviously the one on 2003 is fiber and much newer but it just skips more than the one on 1997.
