washing the Car
2001 E430: Nice car, great ride. Washing it is a pain though. This car's got so many places whwrw water can hide - read, impossible to wpie off - that I need suggestions. Besides using an air compressor, what's do you use to get water out of thos nooks and crannies? Behind the mirroe, the rear bumper, the side molding, rocker area and the list goes on. I'll take any suggestions. Right not, I just blow them out using a compressor!!!

What's wrong with using a compressor? I like to use a leaf blower. Otherwise, you could get some silicone and fill in all the cracks in your car.

I use a low-tech air compressor - my lungs. I use a drinking straw to blow out all that excess water when I wash my 98 E430. I always wonder what the neighbors think I am doing? It beats those water streaks on a black car.
Wanna buy it:

Man, am I relieved!!! I thought I was the only whack job who blew every drop of water from the car!! I do use an air compressor and there are probably more hours on my compressor for this purpose than all others combined. At least now I can tell my neighbors to back off; it's normal (for car guys)!! Seriously though, I've got this probelm on all my cars except my old 250SL, which traps very little water. Our M/B and VWs all do the same. Just enjoy it!!
