I have been on a quest to find a wheel/rim that would compliment my W210 E55 AMG in Brilliant Silver. Just feel as though there has to be something more appealing that the original Monoblocks, especially for a silver car. This is basically my project car, driven perhaps twice monthly and has been a modification in progress. I have looked at the W210 picture catergory and have found some I like and also seen other makes from various websites. A few photoshops have been completed with various makes and models and I have somewhat narrowed it down to a few. Now I do understand that "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder", but I would like your honest opinion and your favorite choice of those pictured below, or if you feel as though another make or model would be better, please feel free to add those. I have followed this board for some time and have seen many of you having an "eye" for wheels. I'll continue to add more as time permits.

I've been rolling on my 17" rims lately in my 01 E55 b/c my 18" OEM monoblocks need new tires...

I think the monoblocks look fantastic but I am also getting an "itch" to try something new. 18" or 19"... i won't buy replica wheels though. I really like BBS LMs but tirerack doesn't even show it for a E55. SSR GT3 3piece wheels 18x9 are on special closeout @ $299/each though. I wonder if these will look good.

I am going to install them on my 97 white E420, more than likely get the centers powder coated black staying with polished lip, identical to the 3rd photo in the 2nd post. Thats my plan of thought at that moment, of course it could change.

Hmmm, seems the C20s are quickly becoming a fav... I think considering also quality, performance and service, the HRE's would come out ahead...

The C20's seem to be the consensus choice here locally also and most if not all have never heard or seen HRE's before, so they are not biased at all. May be pulling the trigger shortly.
