small drain next to gas tank filler
on my w210, E430 00, there's a small drain hole right next to the gas cap area. Is that for extra gas that might spill or does that serve any purpose in the water drainage for the pillars as well ?

Mark is right, it is only a drain for cases when people spill gas or overfill , but I am sure that water goes through it also when it rains or you wash your car.
