Oil level warning after A Service by dealer
So, I had the local MB dealer do my A Service last month. I was not happy with their service as I felt I overpaid for what I got. Anyways.... After the service...a couple days later....I get a warning that the oil level is too high. So, I check the dipstick. Oil level seems fine. After a couple of weeks, this warning kept coming up. I have checked the oil level 3 or 4 times in the couple of weeks and each time it was at the same level....and the right level.
Now driving today I get a different message...."Oil Level Stop! Turn off engine". WTF is going on? I'm thinking when thy did the oil change they messed up the sensor. The car is not knocking, overheating, everything seems 100% fine. Oil level is still where it should be.
Is it possible the dealer screwed up the sensor when they changed the oil?

It could also be that the oil level is marginally too high. I found 8.5 quarts is to much for the M112 engine, for example.
The right level should be the thin-red area if it is the M112/M113 engine. If the oil is in the thick-red area, then it is too high. Take a reading in the morning to see if that is the case.
My 2003 E320 Wagon (M112) had its oil changed by an Indy right before I bought it. The invoice said they put in 8 qts. One time the computer said the oil level is too high and I took a look at the dipstick and it was in the thick red area. I had to suck out about half qt to get it in the thin-red area.

I would not be too hasty to blame the dealer, but if it turns out they did overfill your car with motor oil, that's a pretty serious mistake. I would take it back and see what they say about the situation. For one thing, you have already paid them for a routine service and it is their obligation to make it right if they are somehow at fault.

I just bought my 2000 E430 and I had the same error..."Reduce Oil Level" but that was only for the first week. It does not come up anymore and it's not leaking could it be that the level fell to where it's acceptable?
