I don't understand how that helps me locate the Bose wires on the back of the stock radio. That looks like it is at the amp itself. I don't even know where my amp is. I want to hook the Bose to my RCA outputs put don't know which wires to hook the RCA's to.

Amp is on the left side of the trunk behind the carpet panel thing!

Can you give me a year and a model of which car you have? It varies somewhat on pinout diagrams for the stereo headunit

I figured everything out. I keep reading to splice RCA's from the the new head unit's outputs because they are 4v but I just hooked up the VW harness and it sounds way better than the becker. It seems to be working perfectly with no volume issues as I have read other people are having. Cranks very loud with no distortion. My head unit is the Alpine CDA-9885. I highly recommend.

Hey thanks god I found someone with this headset; I want to get one myself too; is it better that the factory stereo in terms of audio quality, bass effects and deep, surround effects. I have the SPS-17C2 Alpine speakers 2 of them in the front doors and another two in the rear deck...

What about the installation of this Audio does it require any customization or is it just a matter of just plug and play (remove the old factory cassate stereo with this one)?

What about the radio antenna (as I don't know where it is located in my car the stereo guy technician told me its integrated in the glass is it!!) he claims that I have to use another antenna for the radio; is that true or will it be working perfectly on the car factory antenna?

I thought the antenna was integrated into the glass too, and it still might be. However, I just attended an MBCA event and a guy there (E430 owner) told me our antennae are in the rear and accessible through the trunk in some fashion. This might be mentioned in our owner's manuals, but I don't remember seeing it.
