Valve job required below 8,000 mi
My E class (last year's model) spent 4 days getting a new valve job. Both heads were removed, and the parts list looked like a Scott Turow novel. My car only has 7,500 miles on it at the time the repair was required. The bad valves were found due to rough idle.
When the car had 25 miles on it, the rotors had to be replaced<heavy sigh>. This car was the replacement negotiated by MB due to my 01 ML being a lemon.
I guess I need a Lexus. <sigh>

I know enough to know that a car that is barely a year old (especially a Benz) should not require a full valve job - especially at such low mileage.
I doubt very seriously if the service department gets their kicks spending 4 days performing an un-necessary valve job, especially since it will merely be a warranty chargeback to MBUSA.

Oh, btw, just because it's a Lexus doesn't mean problem free...hehehe. It just means you expect perfection so that the smallest trivial, minor problem would aggravate you cuz you're not expecting it from a Lexus.
