Koni knobs

Anyone know if the white adjusting knobs for Koni yellow Sport shocks are all the same or are they part specific?
Thanks.

kinda part specific. there are at least two different Koni adjustables and
one may be 3 settings and the other, 4 settings. as such, the adjusters
are embossed with different info. but I dont use them because I dont
always have room to grip and turn. so i simply use a pair of vice grips
or adjustable wrench.

thanks for the info. Where do you grip with the vice grips or adj. wrench? at the top of the strut? The struts I got do not have that weird shape at the top of the strut? they are just round for the nut at the top. They are yellow Koni Sports. Thanks!

mmm....the end of the strut was jellybean shaped, as shown in the center of
the knob, so it was quite easy to grab. if your strut ends are round, are they
threaded? i suppose you can use a nut...that is, if clearance was an issue
as they are in the engine bay of my 99 E320. whereas in the trunk, it was fine
with the large plastic adjuster.

yes, mine are yellow koni sports: Front: 26-1602; Rear: 26-1603

oh wait...I need to check again..I might have confused it with my tokicos I installed over the weekend on the MR2 ahha...my bad..so they are jellybean shaped, when you turn with a vice, u can feel the click click? is clockwise more stiff and counterclockwise softer?
Thanks for all the help..I really appreciate it.

hah hah...i've mixed up data from my motorcycle before so i understand....

yeah, righty-tighty....lefty-loosey (less dampening). you should feel a click,
and also, depending on design, the chrome cap at the end of the body may
require that you lift off and press a spring ball/detent while turning the spindle.
once the next setting is reached, the spring/ball pops up and locks the setting
into place. need to in/decrease more?....press ball again while turning spindle...
and ball will pop up/lock to next setting.

gripe: for front shocks, this is a one person job. for the rear, I had to call
my nephew to come over to turn the spindle, while I held down the spring
loaded ball.....that is, unless you have arms like Bao Xishun
