Brabus muffler on E300DT

Has anyone installed a Brabus muffler on an E300DT? If so, any pointers or "roadblocks" that I should know about during installation?

I purchased a used Brabus muffler from an E420. I am planning on having a new pipe fabricated to the length of my OEM muffler set-up. This way it can be a direct bolt to the pipe that runs off my trap oxidizer.

No need to ask... I will post some pics during the process and after its completion.

I've seen it done with a Remus end muffler on a W202 C250 Turbo Diesel and it's no problem at all. I believe the guy even removed the oxidation cat (I dunno if these are on USA cars) and chiseled out it's innards! An oxidation cat is only there to remove the Diesel odour and it make's no diffrence in smoke output or the annual emissions test etc...

Yep. My car has the trap oxidizer, or whatever you call it. The insides of it were rattling, so I took it off and hollowed out the inside.

Got the muffler installed. Was real easy. The car has a throaty sound now. The nice thing about the exhaust note is that is does not get loud, even when the engine gets into higher rpms. It just rumbles along.

Thank you for the compliment. It's not for sale, but I would entertain a real offer.

I bought the wheels from a Benz dealer in Philadelphia off of ebay. The wheel and tire package cost about $1,500. They are 17" rims.

It looks real nice EdzBenz! I've been in doubt about doing this to my car, but I have a long wishlist so we'll see.

Z06EATER; 3000 for a new side fender looks VERY steep to me, especially for a front fender cuz these are simply bolted on.
