It's a pain when someone asks where to buy a throttle body, and spends like 30 posts talking about how it doesn't work. Then later you find out that the problem isn't even on a mercedes, but a honda civc.

The problem is that a lot of peeps simply do not READ and ask info you DID put in your original post. Also putting a ton of cars (like you do) in your profile bar isn't gonna help either. This is a Mercedes forum. If you have more than one Benz you can post them, and if i.e. it's a W124 and a W210 people can assume you're discussing the W124 when you're on the W124 forum...

Noticed a lot of the old timers on the forum listed all of the makes they own,thought it helps when judging experience with machines.have seen friendships form online and in person when someone notices they too have a "68" whatevermobile. And BTW if you are lucky and have more than one benz,I can tell you to where to post them !!

Maybe I'm kinda biased cuz I'm also a member of pchardware forums where peeps use to list everything they have running from a kids pc to their fileserver and you never know clearly what they are actually discussing/disgusting/disputing and so on...

Hah! Does my Diesel have a MAF?! I know mine has EDC (Electronic Diesel Control so it can be tuned/chipped, but no CDI yet) If you like I can always ask for a 320 V6 price when I am at my MB shop. Never heard of Menzerna products. I try to hand-wash the car once a week using Turtle-Wax high gloss shampoo and always wipe it down afterwards. Another reason my car looks good is the fact that it's 10 years old, but has only been driven for 7 years. When I bought it in January 2007 it had been sitting in their showroom since June 2004!!!

Ofcourse I asked them why on earth it's been in inventory (out of road taxes and insurance) for 2.5 years? Well, because of it's condition and relatively low 'mileage' of 208K km (most 220D's have 300K to 400K or more on the clock) it was higher priced than usual. And most people looking for an older W210 Diesel prefer the 290 turbodiesel (5 cylinder) or 300(turbo)diesel. I came from a 1993 W124 200D with 75hp, and only wanted a bit more power (this car has 95hp and weighs less), and all my wife wanted was A/C. This car had it all, was in a very good condition with a nice color, AND came in 'elegance' trim where most 220D's are in 'classic' trim. (not many factory options)
