Headlight Aim Adjuster Not Functioning

Found my first defect in my recently-purchased 99 E320.
The right Vertical headlight adjuster does not work.

The left one works just fine, so I know I'm making the
adjustments correctly.

I'm wondering it it'll be covered under the Basic Warranty (I've got 8 months left on it). I wonder if the dealer will deem it damanged due to improper use...my nearest dealer is 80 miles away.

The right headligth is very high (hi-beam high). Anyone
know if and how I can fix this?

Thanks,
TJ

The adjusters are those grey round things you see above the lights when you open the hood. That should be covered under the factory warranty (my warranty expires on the 31st, I'm trying to find anything wrong with the car so i can bring it in before it expires hahaha even though i have the mb extended warranty)..the only thing I can find wrong is the driver's side dome light just stopped working.

Headlight Assy. Replaced

Took my E320 in to have the light checked today.
They replaced the whole assembly. Now maybe I won't
annoy the cars in front of me.

The Euro clears from Autodynamic have similar horiz/vert adjustment knobs. What it lacks, vs OEM, is the window/bubble level gauge. The adj knobs are in the same location as factory issued headlight units.

I have this same problem. Left adjuster works, right doesn't. Don't plan on replacing the light assembly. Anyone figure out how to correct this or to adjust the beam another way. I plan on taking it apart but clues would be helpful.

I'm afraid some oncoming driver will shoot me for blinding him with my poorly adjusted headlight

When I bought my xenons a few years ago the adjuster was messed up on mine too. What usually happens is the light is adjusted too high/low and the pieces slip out. Its hard to explain but once you take of the back and you look in there you can see how it works. What you are looking for sits right in between the low beam and the high beam/city light. The adjuster runs vertical and connects to the lens on the top and bottom. There is a little ball on the end of the adjuster that pops into the white tabs on the lens. Youll need to get some big 90Degree pliers to pop it back in. Hope that helps. Should only take about 5 min once you get the headlight assy. out.
