Fuel Level Problem

I went and got the fuel level sending unit. I remove the rear lining in trunk (Behinde the back seat, You must access this from trunk. You don't need to remove back seat, just remove lining from trunk which behind back seat under back speaker and motorize sunshade if you have this option) and replace the old level sending unit from fuel tank to new one.
Even after the installing new level sending unit I still get level Full indication on instruement cluster.
Do any one know what else involve or what other part that can be casuing my fuel gauge on instrument cluster to show FULL?
There is 2 wire that goes from fuel sending unit from trunk of the car to driver side front. Whenever I remove this 2 wire connector from fuel level sending unit in trunk (Back of the rear seat) the fuel levle goes to EMPTY and Yellow light comes on to show low fuel level.
Any one have any idea what else can be change to correct this issue where my fuel gauge always shows my tank is FULL even if I have not fuel in tank.

All wiring is good, no short.
Any one has any idea what in the hell is wrong? Why my fule gauge shows always full.
I checked my old fuel level sending unit and found that when it is at Empty level the resistance is very high and when it is at Full Level the resistance is very low about 100 ohms.
Do you think that instrument cluster fuel gauge is having problem? I have already change the level sending unit in fuel tank. I bought the replacement sending unit from MB dealer (Not E-bay).
Ohlord, please help.

As I said when I removed the connector from fuel tank for level sensor, the IC show EMPTY right away.
This tells me IC is reading something.
I finally found the the wiring diagram on my WIS DVD.
Look like wires goes direct from level sensor to IC. It is blue and white wire. I was looking for Green and white wire.
So I will do some more trouble shooting over the weekend.
For a fancy and luxy MB car this type of wiring issue drive you crazy

I am extremly surprise that NO ONE on forum has this issue.
Please review attached.
Please help help help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a pain. Some pics.
I still have no HELP from FORUM

I found that WIS drawing is correct. All wiring matched the WIS wiring drawing.
Pin 1&2 on fue level sesnor goes to pin 4&5 on IC connector on fuel gauge side.
Wire color is blue and white, blue is + and white is -.
Did the continuety check and found good continuety and all wires are good.
So, I got bad IC. Only BAD part about my IC that fuel gauge does not work. Some time fuel gauge is fine and other time it shows my fuel is full even though I got only 1-2 gallons left in my tank.

I read the reading of fuel level in Ohms to compare when my tank almost empty (About 2 gallons left) and when my tank is full (About 18 gallons).
WHEN TANK IS EMPTY (ABOUT 2 GALLONS IN TANK)

WHEN TANK IS FULL (ABOUT 18 GALLONS IN TANK)

This tells me that level sensor is doing is job and problem with IC unit.

I was surprise that I did not get any good solid help from this forum. Look like most of the people on this forum does not have IC issues or are not expert on IC.

Here is the link on how to remove the IC if you like, I found on E-bay.

Ohlord I still owe you thanks for OBDII Scanner from Harbor Freight Tools, I bought 2, each only $39.
One in Los Angeles recommended by ZAM2000 was better, they wanted $225 for IC, but I passed them also. Here is link to one recommended by ZAM2000, good people, lots of MB parts. They are much closed to Dodger stadium in Los Angeles. Following is link to their web site.
Thank you ZAM2000,

I will post some more experience I learn with playing with IC later.
Even though I did not get too much help on IC from Forum, but over all I am glade we have this forum.
People like Ohlord, Zam2000, Whity and Skylaw save me over last 3 years of my MB ownership about $7000-6000.
So far I have paid dealer only to do transmission oil change on my 1997 W210 $350 and on my 2001 W210 for service “A” $225.
Other then that I did DIY or DIY with help of my Pilipino and Mexican buddies in beautiful central coast of California, I used their lift to work on my cars.
Thanks all for your support. Please keep posting your W210 problems on this forum, this is the only way we poor (pretend to be rich) people of MB can survive.
