I have a pressure bleeder and am ready to bleed but have a question. The following is from ALL DATA:
• Question: “1. Actuate master brake cylinder switchover valve (Y61)” How do I “actuate” it? What do I push? How far? How long?
1 Actuate master brake cylinder switchover valve (Y61)
NOTE: The switchover valve (Y61) must be open so that the annular passage in master brake cylinder is bled.
2 Connect filling and bleeding device
CAUTION:
• Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.
• Bleeding pressure 2 bar

Jim, don't know if I can be of much help on this. I bled the brakes on my 1999 diesel this past weekend, but my car doesn't have ESP and I think that Y61 valve relates to ESP...not certain.
I've got a diagram from MBz and it shows the Y61 valve on the master cylinder (facing LF fender) below the reservoir and back toward the brake vacuum booster. The diagram is small and not easy to read.
