Need advice removing front axle spindle nut (4MATIC)

Working on my 1999 4MATIC. Need to replace a spindle bearing on right front. I have taken a 1/2 impact to the nut but it wont budge. I am wondering if someone could confirm if it is right hand threads? I am going to round up a 1" drive socket with massive breaker bar but was going to post to double check the thread direction and feedback on tourqe needed to remove. I have usually been able to remove these axle nuts with a 1/2" impact in the past on other cars when changing CV joint boots.

Counter

clockwise, kroil oil on the nut,buy a good socket, snap on or better, have you prevented the rotor from turning?Rear nut is something like 200newton meters so if the front is anywhere near that you will need a big bar.Call an indie or subscribe to all data to get the TQ. value when you do the reinstall.
What happened?froze bearing?Air impact or electric? On my old corvette nothing would budge the fly wheel bolts, then i got a high torque electric and off like nothing.

For confirmation. So, are you saying it is a left handed thread then by saying to go clockwise to remove? The bearing has a howl. (At least I hope that is it) We jacket it up on all 4's by the control arms and ran it to find the howl.

Correct

Did you use a stethoscope? I sure hope it's the bearing.

Can anyone tell me the front axle nut size on a 98 wagon 4matic E320. It appears to be a 12 point nut. Mercedes says it is a 27 mm but it looks bigger. I am attempting to replac cv boot

No, I think he said counterclockwise to remove. The "counter" was in his subject.
