H&R Cup Kit on a 97 320 questions

1. It fits right? Nothing in the way?

2. Modifications before/during/after install?

3. Camber kit is needed correct?

4. Anything else I forgot?

If anyone objects to my decision to install this kit then my answer is that I can because I am an American Cowboy riding a german horse

cup kit is a coil over design, right? i guess i didn't realize that H&R had one
which fits the 210...with separate shock and spring design. so one exists?

Cupkit is just a matched spring and shock package. I thought it was a coilover and was confused when I opened the package. I currently have a cupkit on my E430. There are no clearance issues with the actual cupkit itself. You may have tire rubbing issues but that is a separate issue. You will need a camber kit. Right now I have speedybenz rear camber arms and I was going to install Kmac in the front but it turned out I had the wrong kit. I am now waiting on my correct Kmac to arrive.

ohhhhh, tnx for crystalizing this for my thick head !

p.s.....now that I'm thinking about this, what is the attraction? by buying it
separate, I can pick the spring length...as well as the dampening rate independant
of each other. IOW, I can pick the shock qualities based on my preference, ie
soft, firm, in-between. does the cupkit package consist of preselected charac-
teristics? do you get choices?

pps....found my answer after cruising H&R web site. yes you can pick TOURING
or SPORT cupkits, though the price of the pkg is about $900 for this kit.

I think it was around $650. This is kinda steep for springs and shocks but it is supposed to be the lowest drop you can get. The matched springs and shocks give a pretty decent ride even though it is so low. Its firm but I've been in cars that are much worse.
