$32000-33000 with the devaluation of the dollar a 2004 w 12k miles is about that now private party. so extrapolating backwards to the days of stronger dollar values an 01 e320 in 2004 would most likely be in that ball park value.
Make sense? maybe someone has a copy of 2004 kbb which isn't worth the powder to blow it up anyway!

Why would currency exchange rates have any influence on the domestic market for used cars? I suppose an increase in the dollar cost of importing new foreign cars could increase the marginal rate of substitution for used foreign cars that are already on American soil.
In any case, the price of an '04 W211 in '07 is not necessarily a good ballpark estimate for an '01 W210 in '04. The value of any given body style drops when a new version is released. The W210's replacement (W211) had already been out for a year in '04, whereas the W211 is still current in '07.

ball park!i.e a nebular figure,a wide estimation,a general area...............

Did not mean to imply the rate on used cars, was using the weakness of the dollar to inflate the cost to purchase the new model and its eventual affect on the used car market.
