97 E420. 05 Yamaha R1(9.75 @145)
E420 trans slip

So my E420 with 150000 miles on it slips in 4th gear. Is this just an adjustment or am I screwed???

Options if it is worn out??

what's the maintenance history? if the fluid hasn't been changed 2-3 times by now, then it's probably done. your options are used, rebuilt and new. cost wise, if you can't get the work done cheap, and it still runs pretty well, then maybe it's time to sell, since you'll lose that money either way.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Change the

fluid and filter,and cross your fingers.Rebuilt box $2500,might find low mile used for 1500 or out of a wrecker for less.Aurora auto wrecking seattle.

what about 5th gear?
If it has never had the fluid changed,you may see nice results from the change.
use mb fluid and change all the fluid converter included.
