code reader question

finally bought a code reader because my cel was on. turned out to be p0173. erased it and it hasn' come back on. probably need to clean the maf. the car is running normal for now. my worry is there is an section on the code reader tha check a bunch of systems and i got the message of "not ready" in the following sensor sections. Catalyst Sys..Not ready, evap sys..not ready, sec air...not ready, o2 sensor....not ready, ho2 sensor....not ready, egr sys.....not ready. the reader is a actron cp9135.. i get these only when the engine is running. when i read the codes with the engine off they all say ready.

I?m Status

Was just out taking the kids to the mall.Saw your post and was about to ans. it when the p.m. came in.
Maf could be off a bit or if you gas up at arco it will sometimes cause a cel.
The i/m codes are the ones that are not read constantly, for emissions testing purposes. So if they say not ready you can't take or pass the smog test.
Clean the maf with the crc cleaner for mafs,Clear the code or it will clear itself. Then just drive like you do everyday. The i/m codes will clear and say ready after several drive cycles. If you have a smog test coming up soon then search my recent post about harborfreight scanner,it has the generic drive cycle I posted.Or If you can't find it p.m. me.

"GOT CODES?"
Cleaned once it may work again,if not germanstar.net for the insert, and make sure all the air tubes are on properly,if loose they can toss a check engine light also.

You should also run the scanner with the ignition set to "on", not while the car is running.
