TINT: Advice and help
Hey everyone. Recently i have been thinking of tinting my e class. I've called a few places and they all seem to give me price quotes arund $170-$190 for installation. I was wondering if there is a difference between smoke tint and black tint? Is there such a difference? I heard there was and wasn't sure what the difference was since they both appear to be black tint in general. I was debating whither to go with 20% black tint all around or go the maximum legal 35% in Connecticut. The places i called didn't offer 30% im not sure why. Im not sure if 35% is dark enough for me. I am wondering how 35% and 20% would look on a E class. If you guys can post some pictures of your cars that would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

i beleive smoking is using a spray can, that's what i've seen many do with their rear lights. Tinting is using a film, which is a lot better in my opinion because if a cop gets you, it will be a fix-it ticket (assuming you tint all of your windows). I tinted mine medium in the front, and limo in the back. There is a place called made in the shade here in OC if you're near, they charged me 140 with lifetime warranty on discoloring and bubbles (they've been in business for 5 years).

Hmm i dont believe these guys use a spray can i think its a tint film they told me which name brand they used (forget the name but yeah), but they call it smoke for some reason. Just wondering what the difference would be compared to black? Since they both appear black.
HMM thanks for the picture 20% looks pretty good in the day time. I bet you cant see through it at night.
