Hi guys just got me a 99 E430 Sport, it’s a pretty clean car and I like it. It’s my 2nd W210, my first was a 99 E320 that my wife drove as a daily driver before totaling it a few months back. This one... is... MINE.

I must say that while I am not a big MB fan, the W210 has some how worked its way into my personal space.

I've been reading these forums for the past few days and it seems that a large number of you guys have had issues with your cars. I hope my decision to purchase this car was not in error, as I've had much success with my E320 before its demise. This car has 90k on the odometer and it seems pretty solid right now but I would like to know what to look out for. Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Change
the plugs at 100k,ngk 7090 or bosch oem.Change the trans fluid and filter now,you have a 99 so the tq converter can be drained.Treat it right and keep on driving it happily for years to come.
Sounds like you picked up a nice one!Treat it that way and it will return the favor.
Wonderful cars and even more so if you pick up a tool now and then and do some diy.

If you don't have the service history,do a B service on it.
Don't listen to the whiners,if a lot of them would have inspected the car before they bought it and chose a fine example and kept it maintained properly, they also would have no complaints like the legions of fans that appreciate these fine machines.
